BOARD OF DIRECTORS
FRANK E. FLOWERS (CHAIRPERSON) is a Caymanian Filmmaker with over twenty years experience in the motion picture and television industry. After receiving a degree in screenwriting from the University of Southern California, Frank E’s award winning short film, SWALLOW, debuted at the Sundance Film festival before being sold to HBO. Frank E then returned home to direct HAVEN, the first feature film to be entirely shot on Grand Cayman. As a screenwriter, Frank E has developed projects for 20th Century Fox, A&E, Paramount, eOne, Universal and Netflix. Selected credits include the BAFTA nominated METRO MANILA, the upcoming sports drama SHOOTING STARS for Peacock and an UNTITLED BOB MARLEY BIOPIC slated for release in 2024. Frank E’s next directing project is THE BLUFF, a historical action film set in Cayman Brac. Frank E maintains a strong commitment to fostering local talent as he divides his time between the Cayman Islands and Los Angeles, where he resides with his wife and daughter.
JEREMY WALTON (VICE CHAIR) is a film financier and producer. In 2020, Jeremy joined Moo Studios to create its film and television division, with a focus on developing, financing and producing content for television and film distribution. Recent films financed and produced by Jeremy include THE FIX (starring Grace Van Dien and Clancy Brown); PURE O (shortlisted for Best Picture at SXSW); THE INVENTOR (starring Daisy Ridley, Marion Cotillard and Matt Berry) which was nominated for Best Animated Independent Feature; THE DIRTY SOUTH (starring Dermot Mulroney and Shane West); JERICHO RIDGE (starring Nikki Amuka-Bird); and MID-CENTURY (starring Stephen Lang, Bruce Dern and Shane West) which won Best Picture at the IFS Los Angeles Film Festival.
A long-time Cayman resident and supporter of local talent, Jeremy has also financed and produced two documentaries made by Caymanian filmmakers. His experience as a former lawyer was used to help CIFC create the regulations and infrastructure to support a production incentive program for the Cayman Islands.
SEAN RANKINE - For over 20 years, Sean Rankine has been producing and directing on some of America's most memorable reality television series. He started his career at the birth of the genre as a Production Assistant and Researcher on MTV’s “The Real World” and “Road Rules” in 1999. His credit list now includes over 50 seasons of series and specials for both cable and broadcast television. He is CEO and Co-President of This Way Out Media, Inc. Sean has produced series spanning all segments of the reality genre; Follow Docs, House Reality, Competition/Elimination, Docuseries, Occu-soaps and “Soft Scripted” projects. He has worked with notable celebrities, actors, supermodels, athletes, musicians, and even members of The Brady Bunch. Sean has directorial credits for 10 cycles of MTV’s “Making the Band” and several other successful series. Continuing his passion for television, Sean has served as an Executive Producer on over 18 cable series for Viacom, including “Saddle Ranch”, “I Want to Work for Diddy”, “College Hill”, and “College Hill: Interns”, as well as 11 seasons of the wildly popular series “Basketball Wives” and “Basketball Wives: LA” for Vh1. Additional credits include: "The Rap Game”, "Making A Model w/ Yolanda Hadid" for Lifetime, BRAVO’s “Your Husband is Cheating on Us”, “Camp Getaway” and “Married to Medicine: LA”. Most Recently, Sean served as an Executive Producer/Showrunner for OWN’s “Iyanla: Fix My Life” and “Put a Ring on It”, "The JoJo Siwa Project" for PEACOCK and BET's "College Hill: Celebrity Edition.” Sean recently joined the CIFC but has been a longtime advocate in bringing TV opportunities to the Cayman Islands.
BEN MEADE is a public relations and communications professional and former journalist with over 20 years in the media and communications industry. He has extensive experience in the broadcast industry, having worked as a producer/presenter at the BBC World Service and a Senior Producer at the Caribbean Media Corporation. He was an integral member of the leadership team at Observer Radio in Antigua and Barbuda, serving as Programme Director and News Director. In the Cayman Islands, he’s remembered for his time at Cayman 27, where he was a reporter/producer before becoming the local TV station’s News Director and head of special broadcast projects.
DR. JOHN-PAUL CLARKE is a professor of Aerospace Engineering and Engineering Mechanics at The University of Texas at Austin, where he holds the Ernest Cockrell Jr. Memorial Chair in Engineering. Prior to commencing his tenure at UT Austin, Dr. Clarke was a faculty member at Georgia Tech, the Vice President of Strategic Technologies at United Technologies Corporation (now Raytheon), a faculty member at MIT, and a researcher at Boeing and NASA JPL. He has also co-founded multiple companies, most recently Universal Hydrogen – a company dedicated to the development of a comprehensive carbon-free solution for aviation. In addition to his work with the CIFC, Dr. Clarke is a Member of the NASA Advisory Council (NAC), Chair of the NAC Aeronautics Committee, and Chair of the Board of Directors of Cayman Airways.
RICARDO FORBES has been working in the film industry since 2010 with A.M.F. Partners Ltd. Prior to that, he received an MBA from Century University in Los Angeles and worked in the Financial and Insurance industries. Mr. Forbes has always had a passion for advocacy in providing positive developmental information for Caymanian youth and adults. He produced documentaries on social issues like HPV and mental illness as well as a historical feature on 80 year old Caymanian Mr. Banks and his life in the US Navy. Ricardo was instrumental in bringing the Connect with Kids, (CWK) educational documentaries and school curriculum material to the Cayman Islands Ministry of Education. In addition to being a member of the CIFC board, Mr. Forbes serves as a Director on the Board of Loud Silent Voices and is deeply involved with changing the stigma around mental illness. He is currently working on a documentary about human trafficking, which has been shooting in Thailand, Los Angeles, and San Francisco.
TONIE CHISHOLM is an accomplished producer and host with ten years of production experience in the Cayman Islands ranging from radio, television and feature films. She offers an on the ground perspective to the Cayman Islands Film Commission. Tonie is currently a freelance Assistant Director based in the Cayman Islands but consistently works abroad on productions in Los Angeles, New York and Canada.
DWAYNE EUTER - is a Producer and Program Director at Clairtyhouse Recording. He currently serves as the station manager and hosts a weekly program on Praise 87.9 FM.
