This signature Cayman Cookout event is one of the most popular. Sure it has a great price, live music, and the entertaining Vicki Wheaton hosting, but its popularity stems from the amount of wine tastings, yummy culinary bites and the silent and live auction items.
The food stations around the room were helmed by Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company Chefs; tender pork cheeks, melt-in-your-mouth veal short ribs and an attractive selection of chocolates were some of the highlights. On display throughout the ballroom were a selection of wine compatible snacks consisting of nuts, cheeses and fruits for guests to nibble on.
The Ultimate Wine Fair and Auction had a relaxed vibe with guests moving throughout the ballroom for food and wine tastings and then into the foyer to bid on an enormous selection of silent auction items. I am definitely wishing I had bid on that 8 night trip to Thailand for six of my closest friends (sorry guys!). If I had the money to splurge at least I would have known that it was going to two worthy causes, with the proceeds from the silent auction going to the Cayman Islands Cancer Society and the Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman Culinary Arts Scholarship.
